About Artificial Intelligence

The Department of Artificial Intelligence offers an undergraduate program B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Data Science) through APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University in Kerala and Diploma in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

AI department in KMCT IETM focuses on the study and application of artificial intelligence through innovative available techniques through efficient and qualified faculty members. The curriculum is designed to equip students with the skills to identify the possible trends and apply them to achieve higher targets of education. It focuses on the application of the Outcome Based Education (OBE) approach during the period of the under graduation course aiming at the excellence in studies and higher job opportunities and better level of thinking. The key areas of study includes Foundational Mathematics, Programming skill development along with mini projects and main projects on the area of specialization. Core subjects includes Technologies on Big Data, Data Visualization and AI. Graduates from AI and Data Science courses can pursue career roles as Data Scientist, AI Researcher, Data Analyst, etc.. The collaborations with the industry partner’s helps our students gain knowledge and hands-on experience on the area and keep them updated on the current and updated trends and technologies.

The department moulds our students to face the outside world with sufficient technical and problem solving skills. There is strong collaboration made with the industry and technical institutions for the development of our students. Technical talks and industrial visits organized systematically during the semesters hone the technical and soft skills development in the students.
